SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING solutions
recyclable plastic packaging why ?
". . . global commitment calls for a circular economy based on responsible and sustainable use of plastics ..."

EU PLASTICS STRATEGY
In 2018, the European Commission announced the
EUROPEAN STRATEGY FOR PLASTICS IN A CIRCULAR ECONOMY to ensure that all plastic packaging is recyclable by 2030.
This strategy is gradually being implemented in directives and national laws with shorter deadlines.

GERMAN PACKAGING ACT
The correspondingly adopted GERMAN PACKAGING ACT (VerpackG) which came into effect in 2019, requires the responsible recycling schemes by providing financial incentives to promote:
- the use of materials and material combinations that enable to recycle the highest possible percentage, taking into account the sorting and recycling practice.
- use of recyclates and renewable raw materials.
. . . be ready to comply with current and future directives . . .
sustainable packaging how ?
OUR FOCUS

• max recyclability / substitution
Substitution of non-recyclable multi-material composites with
fully recyclable mono-material / mono-polymer laminate structures. ∑all-PE, ∑all-PP
Creating the best conditions for a real and maximum recycling

• reduction / downgauging

Reduction of packaging mass & volume.
Both the reduction of film layers as well as material downgauging of individual layers
lead to a reduction of carbon footprint and total cost.

• use of recyclates & renewable raw materials

PCR (post consumer recycled) and/or PIR (post industrial recycled) content.
Renewable bio based plastics content such as Bio PE

DESIGN FOR RECYCLING
flexible packaging
Smart solutions are required to create recyclable packaging while maintaining the multifunctionality of conventional multi-layer packaging including necessary physical and mechanical properties.

• mono material packaging solutions

Our printed & laminated mono material rollstock solutions are
designed for recycling and optimized to be used for a big range of horizontal and vertical form fill & seal (FFS) applications, flow wrapping or lidding. e.g.:

• Stand-up pouches,
• gusseted pouches,
• 3-side seal pouches
• quad seal
• wet-wipes
• etc.

• available in in various suited combinations such as:

• films for printers / converters

• printed & laminated roll stock FFS films
• pre-made pouches | incl. zip

• including slight or high water-vapor & oxygen barriers

Applicable layer thicknesses and finishing can be combined as desired according to individual specifications and requirements.

The selection requires extensive advice.
